This year we are celebrating Harmony Day on Friday 21 March at Wooranna Park. Harmony Day is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home- from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world.
On Friday 21 March, students will be participating in Harmony Day activities where they will learn that Australians from diverse backgrounds equally belong to this nation and enrich it. Teachers will be organising various activities in their classrooms on this day, including a whole school picnic lunch and everyone is encouraged to wear their traditional/cultural costume or a splash of orange to represent the colour of Harmony.A picnic lunch will be held on the oval from 12:45pm for any community members that would like to join us
We hope that every student will be able to participate on this special day as we lookforward to a colourful Harmony Day.
