My heart is overwhelmed with emotion while I am writing this letter to you all. I would like to let you know that I will be leaving Wooranna Park Primary School. Please know that this decision has not been made lightly.
As a teacher at this school for the last 22 years, I have put in all I could and drawn on whatever resources I could put my hands on to do the best for all your children. I feel I am extremely lucky to have worked for such a long period of time in the same community. A community that has been my home from the day I was a graduate.
I could not have grown as a person or as an educator without the people that have made the tapestry of WPPS. I could not thank you all enough for supporting me over the years.
I am grateful to the 1,000’s of students that I have met along the way. Whenever my students ask me, “Hey Ms B, do you have favourites, I have always said, “No. Ms B, doesn’t have favourites. Everyone is equal and everyone is important.” And I still believe this with every part of my heart.
Over the years, your children have all touched my heart. All the children that have crossed my path have been precious and wonderful human beings. We always want the best for all our students and how we can best support them and over the years I have tried to do this as much as possible. I always looked forward to hearing stories about our ex-students and how well they are doing.
A big thank you to all the families and staff past and present that have supported me. It has been an honour getting to know you all over the years. I will miss all of you and your wonderful children but look forward to what the future has in store for me.
With love and kindness and farewell to you all,
Ms Mary Boutros
