Please visit or call the Office to organise an interview with one of our leadership members. This process helps us to get to know your child in support of their transition to Wooranna Park Primary School. Please call us on (03) 9795 2007 or email us at wooranna.park.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
If you have a child who will be starting Prep in 2026, the Department of Education and Training (DET) has released the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.
The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Wooranna Park Primary School.
All government primary schools will follow this timeline in 2025 to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the 2026 school year.
You can find information and resources about the new timeline, including factsheets, at: Enrolling in Foundation (Prep). You can also download the ‘Foundation (Prep) Enrolment Information Pack for Parents/Carers for the 2026 school year’ from the Starting School webpage (available from 22 April 2025).
You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) in 2026 at Wooranna Park Primary School from 22 April 2025.
What you need to do:

The Department of Education has created a Quick Reference Guide to help you get started.
Enrolment applications submitted after 25 July 2025 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.
Once students are enrolled they will be invited to take part in enrolment information and transition sessions on Tuesday 11, 18, 25 November and 2 December 2025. We would like to have all students enrolled at Wooranna Park Primary School in attendance at these sessions.
Your child will start Foundation (Prep) from Thursday 29 January 2026.
Our 2025 Prep Family Handbook contains information for families joining us at the start of 2025.
